Our Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for the stewardship and long-term success of our business. Acting with integrity towards employees, investors and the local communities that welcome us is essential to our success and to creating added value for shareholders.
Our board is accountable to shareholders for the performance of our business by overseeing the management and affairs and operations of our company. The Board recognizes its broader responsibility to employees, local communities and other stakeholders including the Congolese state, and takes into account the impacts of our operations on communities and the environment.
The work of the board is supported by a number of board committees which operate under specific charters and allow for detailed review of a range of policies and regulatory areas before decisions are made by directors.
